TWO Blogs 2Day: #1 A Fun Survey AND #2 What IS Natural Healing

Well...after emails and pm's from readers and 2 phone conversations yesterday between The Canyon and House On Pooh Corner, we have decided to try...at least a day or 2 (to see how it goes) 2 blogs in one day ON ONE PAGE.  Now by doing this..the blog is probably going to load slower..so just click it to load and give it a minute or two and hopefully if it DOES take a minute...once you're inside the blog.. you will feel it was worth your wait..

IF I see I can get 2 done before post time...we'll try doing this for a while at least a few days a week..and the 2nd blog will always be about getting or being..healthy..with remedies and good information that we can all use...but we'll just have to get going with it and see.....But so many are wanting more blogs on health issues...I'm hearing that you're wanting remedies for IBS as I said yesterday and diabetes, restless leg syndrom and more, one even asked...'would you be afraid to talk about hemorroids?'  hahaha  Well NOOOOO hemorroids are a very real and uncomfortable thing...so I'm going to try to do a kind of overview of remedies on some of the smaller ills after tomorrow's main blog..in blog #2...but today..at the bottom of the 1st blog ..you will find a shorter, 2nd blog and today we're just going to talk about what natural healing IS.

If you're not into goofy gander ... skip blog #1.....If you're not into trying to be healthier..skip blog #2 and if you have time and want to..read both :8)

A Fun Survey:  Just A Look Into The Likes And Hopes And Dreams Of The Katydid

1.  Places I'd like to travel this year:  Colorado Springs, Shipshewanee Flea Market, Smoky MountainNational Park, New York State, Springfield Ohio Flea Market.
2.  List some secrets you're keeping:  Well if I listed them...they would no longer be secrets, now would they?  I CAN tell you...for some reason...people seem to confide in me and I have forGOTTEN more secrets than most people are told.  I have only betrayed one confidence in my entire life..that I can recall...and that was because of what the secret 'was' and it had to be told to the proper authorities...But normally...if I'm told a secret...it's safe with me..
3.  Favorite songs:  Well being a hopeless romantic...I, of course, love old love songs..and my favorites are "Thru The Years by Kenny Rogers"..."Love The World Away by Kenny Rogers" .. "There I've Said It Again by Bobby Vinton".."Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime by Dean Martin"...you know...warm and fuzzy/huggy songs  :-)
4.  My favorite foods:  Crispy Fried Catfish, Fried Chicken, Fried Oysters, HOMEMADE Chili, really good hickory barbecue...
5.  If you had to go out and just blow...$10 and then $100...what would you buy?  Well with the $10 I'd probably buy something chocolate..or something fried..$10 doesn't go very far these days...With the $100 I'd probably get on amazon and have a field day buying books...because I have a membership there and shipping is free for me...so I'd buy good used books and get a TON OF THEM with that $100.
6.  What would you do if you had a free day to do whatever you wanted?  If the weather was nice, I'd like us to just take a day trip...wouldn't matter where...I just like doing things with my goofy gander geezer...so just a simple day trip to anywhere...OR just set down together with him in front of the tv...and me have control of the clicker and just spend the day together...being lazy on purpose..now that sounds even better...
7.  List the chores you do on a daily basis: Make the bed, tidy each room, wash any dishes as we dirty them, cook, sweep and mop, speed clean the bathrooms, Geeeeeeeeeeezzz I never really thought about that...I go non stop all day..so I'm sure there are many other things...
8.  If you had to hire someone to do one of your regular jobs...what would you hire someone to do?  I think I'd hire someone to run errands for me...I HATE running errands.  OR be my own personal wardrobe shopper and go buy a few classy but neat things for me WITHOUT ME GOING...to fix me up a little bit...
9.  If you ran a zoo, what animals would you have in it?  If I had my own zoo..I'd want it to be a MONKEY ZOO ONLY...hahaha  Because I LOVE monkey's and babboons and chimpanzee's.
10. What's your earliest memory from childhood:  WAY back in the late 1940's we had a horrific ice storm in Metropolis.  And that was when we had extended families under one roof and we all lived with granny and grandpa...And we got up to no power that morning and Uncle John lived with us too with his wife...but he worked on a river boat...and I remember getting up that morning and it was so cold and dark in the house with no lights...and my granny was standing in the front door watching for Uncle John...he was due home that morning and granny was soooooo worried about him because of the weather..and when he came home...he had candy for ME...and in THOSE days...getting a candy bar was a real treat  :-)
11. What is in your car right now?  I like a really neat and clean car, but the weather's been cold and yucky...so it's dusty inside now and needs a good scrubbing and vacuuming...but the only thing visible in it is the black car bag I keep behind the front seat...and in that bag I keep kleenex, a roll of paper towels, a couple bottles of water, pen and tablet, gum and mints, and de-icer.
12.  Things that embarrassed you as a kid:  EVERYTHING embarrassed me as a kid....I was as shy as they come...But I got OVER that...and now I'd fill in for the preacher if he couldn't be there..make a citizens arrest if one needed to be made and there wasn't a cop handy...call a parent down in public if they're beating on a child...just about anything...
13.  Character traits that you admire:  Trustworthy, honesty and sincerity are very important to me.  I don't give a rip what kind of office you  held of hold....what are you deep down inside...way too may people are phony bolognies...and speak with forked tongue...and don't even come close to walkin' their talk...
14. My favorite colors:  Well .. sorry to say...I'm not a very flashy person...I like subdued colors like mauve and warm sage green and beige's and browns and ivories and black..I LOVE black...
15. What changes would you make if you could rule the world for one day?  Well I'd have to REALLY work fast..because there's TONS of things that need changed BAD...First thing I'd do is take all the criminals and politicians all around the world and put them on a BIG island and bring all the lifeboats back WITH me..That one thing alone..would solve most of our problems in the world....Then I'd get on a world wide television station and tell folks "It's time we all built storybook lives in our own LaLa Lands and this is what we need to do to DO that"  And I'd say "Everybody run out and check your neighbors and see if they're hungry and have what they really need...and see if they need help with 'their' LaLa Lands...and then let's start a "Spread Love and Kindness Revolution"...

Ok...that's going to have to be it on the survey...there are 20 questions...but I'm explaining too much and I went waaaaaaaaay too long with blog #1...So we're going to wrap it up here for today...and if you're interested in health or natural healing...there will be a 2nd blog under this one and it's called "What IS Natural Healing"

Peace and love from the canyon and thanks so SO much...for stopping by...Here at Bird's Eye View we're trying to spread peace and love and warm and fuzzy all the way around the world...one person..one day at a time...so won't you please share todays blog and help us with this HUGE project?
Tomorrow's #1 blog is going to be an update on The People Of La Isla" and how you can help...I hope you can check back...and now for blog #2

What IS Natural Healing

Natural healing IS...the body's ability to heal itself by way of diet and lifestyle change, herbs, vitamins and minerals, cleanses and other means of restoring the body 'naturally.'  It's the strengthening and restoring of ALL of our body's systems...so our body can 'heal itself'...It's kind of like restoring your whole being...body, mind and spirit...and "I" don't do this just yet..but I think it should also entail yoga and meditation or at the very least, 'daily scheduled quiet times'. AND it's usually done without the assistance of a medical doctor.

Conventional medicine IS...merely treating symptoms. And that is done by a medical doctor.

A conventional/medical doctor treats symptoms...You go to the doctor because you're dizzy or nauseated or you have a headache...But listen...dizziness is NOT a disease....nausea is NOT a disease...a HEADACHE is NOT a disease!   Those are SYMPTOMS of an underlying issue that is causing a disruption in your body and making you FEEL these symptoms....In other words...just taking a pill for nausea or dizziness or your headache is NOT going to CURE YOU of whatever is causing those problems....
Those little pills are only BANDAIDS on your boo boo...THERE IS A REASON you are dizzy or nauseated or have a headache....and a naturopathic doctor will go to the base of the problem and find out what's going on in your body...Heal THAT and then when your headache or dizziness goes away....it's because you BODY has been healed ...not because a bandaid was put ON the problem...

A disease or illness happens when a degeneration of one of more of the tissues in your body takes place and toxins build up in that one or more systems...

This is just my own personal opinion...but "I" feel that the best way to really get a good grip on our health is to do a light fast or just have light salads and lots of water or homemade juices for about 3 days....then do a cleanse and start from scratch....putting only those foods that are nourishing and healing into our bodies...so we can build back UP..all the systems in our bodies that we have torn DOWN...

How many of us have been diagnosed with a fatty liver or slugglish liver?   Meeeeeeeeeeeeeee Meeeeeee Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...and we can't heal ANY part of our body with a faulty liver...SO doesn't it stand to reason that the first thing we need to do is restore the liver?  So tomorrow...let's talk about the liver and restoring the liver and about it's function...and how having a faulty/fatty/sluggish liver is KEEPING us from being healthy...and how restoring our liver can help us to be healthy and strong...

That's it for today....If you have a health topic you'd like us to cover...just email and let me know....

Peace and love....over and out
