I LOVE HOW YOU LOVE ME ~ The Paris Sisters 1961...Songs of Yesteryear

Songs of Yesteryear
by The Paris Sisters

"I Love How You Love Me"...written by Barry Mann and Larry Kolberg.  The information I found said that Kolberg wrote the words to this song in a restaurant...on a napkin and it only took him 5 minutes.   Reminded me of Dottie Rambo and all of her beautiful gospel songs.  I've heard her say that it was just normal for her to grab a napkin or piece of scrap paper and just start writing...because songs/words would just come to her out of nowhere....

But WHAT a warm and fuzzy song....just made me as limp as a wet noodle.  And I almost did the version by Bobby Vinton and then I thought...."You know...the words to this song are more something a woman or young girl would say....You're not going to hear an old geezer saying "I love how you think of me ..without being told to...I love how your heart beats whenever I hold you"  You're going to be lucky with an old geezer...if you can GET him to hold you...much less...talk about it."  They've been there...done that and moved on to becoming 'mature men'...they THINK.  But oh my goodness....what some of them are missin'...and they're probably not going to realize that until their better half is no longer a resident of planet earth...THEN many of them will get their 2nd wind and go find some young bimbo half their age and get a super spark in them like they've been struck by magic lightning...how very sad.
God should allow wives of men like that to come back and haunt their old geezer and just scare the giggers out of them every single night from sun down till sun up...and I mean that in the kindest Christian way   :-)

Kim's former grandma-in-law...loved her old geezer husband just absolutely passionately...and they were in their late 70's....She'd want him to do things with her ... even just watch tv...but he was always busy.   Grandma Dorothy was a 'do gooder'  :-)  and she was always busy...Kim stopped by one day and she was on a neighbors roof...getting a limb or clearing the gutters or something...IN HER 70'S!!!
But she DID have a problem with her feet and they would hurt so bad at night and she'd ask her husband to rub her feet and he was a gruff old geezer and he'd say "I'm not going to rub your FEET woman....what's WRONG with you?"
She took ill suddenly and passed away rather quickly with pancreatic cancer.  And Kim said Grandpa Delbert said one day "I sure wish Dorothy was here...I'd rub her feet from now on if I could"  :-(   Toooooooooooooooo late you old grumpy geezer...but you sure had your chance of a story book life in senior land and you missed it...

You know what I love about these old songs?   They are all just so SO full...of truly romantic love.  They're nothing like the songs of today....the yackety yak songs that don't really say anything good and if they did you couldn't understand the words anyway.

We need more songs like the old songs of the 40's and 50's and 60's....when true love was at the very tip top of everybody's priority list.....shall we pray...

What's YOUR favorite song from long ago?  Let me know and we'll highlight that one too....And if you enjoyed todays song or if it gave you a warm and fuzzy feeling....why don't you share it on your own facebook page with your own friends...and let them share in the warm and fuzzies too....

Thanks For The Memories:  Songs Of yesteryear
will be posted before the blog some, many or most mornings.
I can't get more honest than that.

But here's the kicker...no matter what I talk about in my blog each morning...By posting a daily love song from yesteryear and talking a little about it...there will always be a little love coming daily from me...to you.

The very best love stories just have no ending
and I'm just so very blessed to be living one of those love stories.

BE THE CHANGE and LIVE AND LOVE WITH PASSION

I Love How You Love Me
I love how your eyes close whenever you kiss me
And when I'm away from you I love how you miss me
I love the way you always treat me tenderly
But, darling, most of all I love how you love me
(Love how you love me)
I love how your heart beats whenever I hold you
I love how you think of me without being told to
I love the way your touch is always heavenly
But, darling, most of all I love how you love me
(Love how you love me)
[Spoken:]
(I love how your eyes close whenever you kiss me)
(And when I'm away from you I love how you miss me)
I love the way your touch is always heavenly
But, darling, most of all I love how you love me
(Love how you love me)
I love how you hug me (love how you hug me)
I love how you squeeze me, tease me, please me
Love how you love me
I love how you love me
