Love the World Away - Kenny Rogers - Thanks for the Memories: Songs of Yesteryear

Thanks For The Memories:
Songs Of yesteryear
Love The World Away, Kenny Rogers

I'm just a Raggedy Ann person in a Barbie Doll world...I don't wear designer clothes...I don't own any jewelry except my wedding

rings.  I rarely wear makeup...The geezer calls my hair style "Sharon Hair"...making light of a mentally challenged girl that used to come to our church and she never combed her hair..."I" prefer to call my hairstyle 'natural' or 'wind blow'... I'm just not comfy in 'fixie''s just not me...but whatever!  :-/

But one thing I am to my very core...and that's a hopeless romantic.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE these old love songs..And they don't make songs like these any more...or like the ones we had in the 1940's and 50's and 60's.  Back in our could understand every word of a song and every song had meaning...
This one isn't that old ....I didn't even look up the story behind it this morning...I just felt I needed some 'warm and fuzzy' this morning and I decided to post this song for all of us.
But this is one of my very favorite songs.  It just speaks volume's and it's sooooooooooo smooth and it's a good song to make us all stop and think...

It says, "Every now and then...when the world steps in...stealing all...our time...away.  It soon takes so much...we forget to touch...that's when I ...know it's time..for me.. to say....."Take my hand, let's walk through love's door ...and be free...from the world once's my heart...we can hide away...and love...the world...away....

Now when I hear this song....I'm not thinking about tumbling in the hay...I'm thinking about just taking time to BE with one on one.  I love just sitting and talking and snuggling and just 'being' one on one with this geezer of mine.  He was with me every minute they'd let him be at both hospitals on Sunday, the day the accident happened and on into the wee hours of Monday morning when we left the hospital....and he was right there holding my hand....weeeeeeeeeeeelll I was clutching HIS hand for dear life...    But just that little bit of connection...gave me a sense of peace...and I really needed that....

I'm so glad my geezer understands these kinds of things...and understands my silly quirks....And I hope you geezers and geezerettes reading this....both younger and older...will understand that when your wife/husband or significant other is going through a rough time of any kind...It will/would mean the world to him/her...if you'd just say...."I'm here"....and just hold their hand...It really is's the little things that mean the least that's true for me.....

I'm just a little under the weather today, emotionally.  We lost a friend unexpectedly yesterday and I've been an emotional wreck since our accident this really knocked the props out from under me....Hopefully I'll be back on track tomorrow....and we'll have a good blog about 'something earth moving'   :-)

Peace and love from the canyon...I love you all gobs and gobs...and thanks so much..for stopping by

Every now and then
When the world steps in
Stealing all our time away
It soon takes so much
We forget to touch
That's when I know
It's time for me to say
Take my hand
Let's walk through love's door
And be free from the world once more
Here's my heart
We can hide today
And love the world away

Once again we'll be
Where our hearts are free
And the time is ours to share
Love will always stay
Just a touch away
Come with me
All the magic's waiting there
Take my hand
Let's walk through love's door
And be free from the world once more
Here's my heart
We can hide today
And love the world away
We can love the world away

will be posted before the blog some, many or most mornings.  I can't get more honest than that. But here's
the matter what I talk about in my blog each morning...By posting a daily love song from yesteryear and talking a little about it...there will always be a little love coming daily from you!

The very best love stories just have no ending and I'm just so very blessed to be living one of those love stories.  BE THE CHANGE and LIVE AND LOVE WITH PASSION
