It was 5am when I sat down to this computer this morning...and
right away...I was already having one of those days with my computer.
We're having torrential rains and our Hughes Net really comes and goes during bad weather.
And speaking of when I 'set down to the computer'...
I leave my computer on...24/7 and usually leave it logged onto facebook...so if I pass the computer and see I have a message or two I can answer them then and not let them pile up.
And I often set down to find I have a chat message from someone that thinks I'm sitting here because I accidently have my chat on. I DO NOT know how that happens by accident. Once in a while Kim will call me and say "Mom your chat is on" :-/ When I haven't been on the computer for the last 3 hours. I'm usually on from about 4-5am every single day...until about 8 or so am...then mid day for just a few minutes and then I check messages in the evening...SO if you try to chat with me and I don't answer right away...I'm not ignoring you...I just accidently clicked my chat on and I'm not even AT the computer...
Since this thing is coming and going already today with the rains...I'm going to have to be short and sweet again this morning...but I wanted to try to take just a minute to touch bases.
FIRST OF ALL...I want to thank the good Lord for not giving me
that SHOPPING Gene so many of you all seem to have...GOOD GRIEF!!! EVERY TIME I sit down to this computer...some of you are back at the MALL....FOR WHAT???? WHAT in the DICKENS are you BUYING???????
AND I just saw that our local Kohl's will be staying open now...around the clock until Christmas Eve....Now why in the world would anyone need to be shopping at midnight or 3am? THAT IS INSANE!!!
People are waaaaaaaay too wrapped up in spending and shopping..."I" think. And then of course there are those people that just don't like homemaking or cooking or cleaning or even being home much and they'll find any excuse they can to be too busy to BE home...Because if they're home....then someone may think they need to be cooking or cleaning or homemaking :-)
Oh ... let's stop this tomfoolery...I'm going to mess around and make somebody mad. I'm going to post another goofy poem for you this morning....We'll have something each day between now and Christmas and I even post a little bit on Christmas day...same time, same station...Because I know I have a lot of readers who are shut ins or have no family close...and I want to be here for them....
And then we'll get back to normal right after Christmas. But here's a little reading I hope you will enjoy.....
And I have a favor to ask...If you're a prayer warrior...would you please pray that Kevin's neighborhood does not flood this weekend. They're calling for heavy rains and possibly flooding in Paducah and OH my GOODNESS...I'm just not up to that again right now...and he really isn't either...Please and thanks....
Peace and love from the canyon....I love you all gobs and gobs and thanks SO much...for stopping by.
that I’m not among the dead.
Though I’m getting more forgetful
and mixed up in the head.
I got used to my arthritis,
to my dentures I’m resigned,
I can manage my bifocals
but gosh I miss my mind!
For sometimes I can’t remember,
when I stand at the foot of the stairs,
If I must go up for something
or have I just come down from there?
And before the fridge so often,
my poor mind is filled with doubt,
Have I just put food away
or have I come to take some out?
So if it’s my turn to write you
there’s no need for getting sore;
I may think that I have written
and don’t want to be a bore.
Just remember that I love you
and wish that you were near,
Now it’s nearly mail time
so I must say goodbye, my dear.
Here I stand beside the mailbox
with a face so very red!
Instead of mailing you my letter,
I have opened it instead!
