We have a little plaque on the back of our Valkyrie motorcycle that simply says “Traveling the road, sharing the load. Since 1967” It’s getting very worn looking now. I bought that plaque for Geezer about 7 years ago and it’s still hanging on to the back on that seat. We love to travel, but we’re really very strong homebodies. We like to take short trips, but about 5 to 7 days is good enough for us, then we want to head home and check on our kids and grand kids and Grandma Marie and the house and Sadie and Jerry Garcia. After a week, we’re just ready to be home.
Geezer prefers the Daytona area for vacationing. He loves the beach and we’ve found a place in that area that’s away from a lot of the hub bub. He isn’t much on exploring. He’s by vacations just like he is by wives – he’s found a place he’s comfortable and that’s just where he wants to be. Now I’m that way about ‘him’ – but I do like to explore when we travel and MY favorite place of the places we’ve been is in the Rocky Mountain National Park back in behind Gatlinburg. I’m not much of a shopper in those little tourist shops – but I love exploring those mountains and streams and walking those woodland and even some ‘paved’ pathways. OH my GOODNESS the mystery those areas hold.
